Dry Needling / Cupping

About Needling / Cupping
Dry needling and cupping are therapeutic techniques used to relieve muscle tension, reduce pain, and promote recovery. Dry needling involves inserting fine, sterile needles into trigger points to release tight muscles and improve movement.
Unlike acupuncture, which is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and focuses on energy flow (Qi), dry needling is based on modern Western medicine and targets musculoskeletal dysfunction. Cupping therapy uses suction to increase blood flow, reduce inflammation, and encourage relaxation. Both treatments can be beneficial for muscle tightness, sports injuries, and chronic pain, helping to restore optimal function and support overall well-being.
Pregnancy

About Pregnancy Therapy
Pregnancy can be a challenging time for many people, especially with all of the changes the body undergoes throughout the journey. Osteopathy during pregnancy helps support the body’s natural changes during pregnancy by improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing overall well-being. Women’s Pelvic Health

About Women’s Pelvic Health
Women’s pelvic health is essential for overall well-being, as it plays a key role in core stability, bladder and bowel function, sexual health, and pregnancy
recovery. Issues such as pelvic pain, incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse can significantly impact daily life, and is something women often label as “their new normal”, especially after childbirth. Osteopathy and pelvic floor therapy focus on improving mobility, reducing tension and enhancing muscle coordination to support optimal pelvic health. Through tailored treatments, women can experience relief from discomfort, improved confidence, and better
long-term health, whether they are preparing for pregnancy, recovering postpartum or managing menopause-related changes.
A pelvic health appointment involves a comprehensive assessment including a global assessment of the body and how it is functioning and not just focusing on the pelvic floor, as there are many factors which contribute to women’s pelvic health. An internal assessment of the pelvic floor might also be recommended to provide a more detailed assessment, with your consent, to assess the functionality of the pelvic health and assessment conditions such as
pelvic organ prolapse. After the assessment, treatment will be provided through the use of external and internal techniques (with your consent). You will also be provided with an at home management program, which will be tailored to your individual needs, based on what was found during the assessment and may include a variety of activities including breathing exercises, stretches and strengthening exercises.
